Find Music Lessons

Tanisha is a recent graduate of San José State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Tanisha has been playing piano forsince the early 2010's.  .While at SJSU, she studied bassoon and also developed her skills on saxophone and clarinet. 

During her time at San José State University, Tanisha performed in a variety of ensembles, including chamber groups, Wind Ensemble, and Orchestra. These experiences have given her a broad perspective on musicianship and the collaborative nature of music making.

As a teacher, Tanisha focuses on helping students develop strong musical foundations while encouraging curiosity and enjoyment in their playing. She enjoys working with students of different ages and experience levels and believes that learning an instrument should be both rewarding and fun!

Outside of teaching and performing, Tanisha enjoys listening to orchestra and chamber music. Some of her favorite composers include Sergei Prokofiev, Claude Debussy, and Maurice Ravel.
