Private Lessons with Alfie
Alfie

Alfie has been singing for as long as they can remember. Through years of choir participation and solo performances, Alfie has developed strong vocal technique, musicianship, and stage presence. They hold three degrees—an AA and AA-T from West Valley College and a BA from Sonoma State University—all with an emphasis on vocal performance.
During Alfie’s time at West Valley, they sang in multiple choirs, competed in NATS competitions, and performed solo with the Winchester Orchestra. At Sonoma State, Alfie was a member of the university’s highest-level chamber ensemble, SonoVoce, and performed with the group at Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2022. After graduating, Alfie moved to Reno and joined the Reno Philharmonic, where they regularly performed alongside professional musicians. A highlight from this period was a Fourth of July solo sung for an audience of over 2,000 people.
Alfie’s lessons follow a structured, progressive format designed to help each student grow with confidence. Their instruction includes music theory, musicianship, music history, music appreciation, Curwen solfege, the International Phonetic Alphabet, vocal technique, and much more. If you’re looking for a well-rounded, holistic approach to singing, Alfie is the teacher for you.
