Find Music Lessons

For as long as Kit can remember, music was a constant presence in his home, with a wide variety of styles always playing in the background. He began drum lessons at the age of 8 at a local music store in Chicago and continued studying privately at his instructor’s home for several years. By the age of 18, he was performing at music venues throughout the city, gaining hands-on experience by playing with a variety of bands across different genres.

Since the early 1990s, Kit has had the opportunity to perform on television, radio, and in theater, as well as to record and tour nationally—all while continuing his own musical education. Beginning in the 2000s, he brought his experiences into the classroom, teaching drums to students of all ages and interests. His teaching style emphasizes not only the fundamentals of music but also creativity, fun, and musical flow. Kit believes that learning a musical instrument is an incredible outlet and a lifelong gift.
