Rishi is an accomplished and dedicated cello instructor whose journey with the instrument began at the age of 11. Their passion for the cello has led to years of study and performance, including serving as a member of the San Jose Youth and the Cambrian Symphonies.
In addition to their extensive performance experience, Rishi has volunteered as a cello instructor for the Simonds Music Foundation program, which addresses the lack of music education in schools by offering free classes to students who otherwise wouldn't have access to music instruction. This opportunity has deepened their commitment to sharing the joy of music with others and fostering a love for the arts in underserved communities.
As a teacher, Rishi is known for their patient and supportive approach, tailoring lessons to suit each student’s unique needs and goals. They emphasize the development of solid foundational skills in technique, rhythm, and musical expression while nurturing creativity and confidence. Their goal is to inspire students to grow as musicians and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for music.
