Growing up in a music-oriented family, Fatima’s interest in singing and piano bloomed early. She pursued her passions, and earned an Associate of Arts in Music from College of the Sequoias in Visalia, CA. She continues her studies at San Jose State University working towards a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education. 

While at College of the Sequoias, Fatima regularly led choral rehearsals, and served as a member of the Music Department’s leadership team, performing both musical and administrative duties. She has worked with students of varying ages in other settings as well, and is excited to continue her growth in the field. Her performing experience includes nine years of participation in various choral ensembles, two years of piano and vocal performance in a music school, several vocal recitals, paid solo work, and a female barbershop quartet!

Fatima’s goal in teaching is to not only improve a students’ technical skills, but to inspire a love for music they can carry with them throughout their lives. She achieves this by incorporating both fundamental training and a student’s personal music preference.
